I purchased this product 1.5 years ago for a small powder room primarily based on looks and appearance. Unfortunately I was determined to use it no matter how tiresome the assembly. While the actual install was easy (wiring), the assembly (stringing/draping all of the crystals from the piece) was IMPOSSIBLE. I should have packed the whole thing up and shipped it back after the first 15 minutes of sheer frustration and broken dreams (literally i had broken 5 of the strings of crystal and ended up using every single 'extra' crystal string included in the pack). But i just had to see it through...5 hours later i had a semi-decent looking lamp in my powder room, as long as you didn't breath on it, look it directly in the eyes or try cleaning it any time later. The problem is the incredibly flimsy plastic center where one hooks in the strings of crystals -- it's practically the consistency of syran wrap and one ends up knocking out several crystal strings whenever one tries to hook another in. 1.5 years later, we attempted to clean it and have ended up breaking several strands. the worst of it is we paid over $350 for this piece of garbage.
