I am very happy with the design and style of this fixture. I had an electrician install this in my bedroom on the wall above my closet doors. This fixture does a good job illuminating the area in front of my closet but I still need lighting on the other side of the room. I also had installed a Lumitron dimmer switch with remote and I usually have the lighting dimmed to reduce brightness and heat. I think I'll buy the matching single plug in lamp for my bed!

Well made unit, surprised at the quality for the $$ and the nice finish on the metal parts. Straightforward to install but be aware the backplate is almost 20 inches wide and needs to sit on a flat wall, with the box flush and the cord at the centerpoint. Each lamp is adjustable over a fair range. Bulbs change easily since the metal surrounds adjust depth-wise via set-screws.

I love these fixtures (if it's not too weird to have a favorite household lighting fixture, these are mine). I bought two, to replace a pair of 60W incandescent fixtures on the wall of a small combination bedroom/office. One set illuminates the desk, the other provides reading light and picture illumination over the room's bed. (Both fixtures are on a dimmer.) I love the design, it's very high tech and modern, but it's solid and obviously high quality. All the lights can be aimed individually, making this a perfect fixture for both primary (it's very bright) or accent/fill lighting. The design is pretty out there (I liken it to miniature theater lighting, if the theater was in orbit), but it works for my decor and if you like the looks, you'll love the light.

I originally purchased this light for a bathroom but it puts out too much heat. I wound up installing it in a hallway and it works out fine.

I bought this unit to match a square 4-spot unit I had in another room of the apartment. The installation was very straight-forward. Changing the light bulbs is very easy and the construction/metal quality is very good.
