I bought this for my son's room. It is sporty and small, very masculine-looking. He has it on his headboard and can move the flexible neck to illuminate any area of the room he wants to. It is meant to be a spotlight, actually. My only complaint was the hallogen bulb that came with the lamp died after a few days and I had to search for and purchase a new one. Not being familiar with hallogen, this was a bit of a hassle and added expense. Replacement bulb has been working fine for months now.
