looks good and illuminates well...I purchased the recommended bulbs however and they give off a pink/purple hue at the base...hoping different bulbs will work better

This product does not come with bulbs. If you fail to notice or sales rep neglects to point that out, you will be disappointed when you install. I had to run out and buy bulbs! Once the bulbs were installed, I had to return and exhachange two of the three track heads because the protective lense and the wire to hold the lense in place did not fit.

This track lighting replaced a small ceiling fixture, the only lighting in a long hallway which had a jog in it. What a difference in illumination. Aside from being much brighter, the track kit allowed me to point each bulb to light the dark corners. I had not previously thought to use track lighting in a hallway, but it works perfectly. And the extremely reasonable price made it that much better.

Use this track light to illuminate a fairly long, dark hallway. Love it. Very bright. Can also point lamps to illuminate photo display on one wall. Very much brighter than the single ceiling unit we had there before. Would highly recommend. Very good value for the cost.

This set of lights was preselected by the builder of my house. I really love the look, but one of the heads went bad just after one year[...].
