We have had two small lamps and one large for 40 years. I love the little light that you can leave on as a night light. My husband can't stand it if read for too long and I manage to read with the light from the bottom light. They have been very durable. We actually have a brown line because ours are from the 70's, but other than that they are the same. Very classic design.

This is THE most helpful and reasonable company I've ever encountered...which is such a welcome change from most internet companies I deal with, and I buy everything off the internet!!! Buy everything you can from these people, without worry!!!
I have two and they're lovely and sturdy. One fell on the floor during an earthquake and only the chimney broke (easily replaceable). Buy and enjoy...
This is the most beautiful lamp in the world.
