This pendant worked in my foyer when nothing but a flush-mount would be able to be installed, due to the height and swing of our front door. It had enough width (16") to be able to add enough presence in the front entry. Little tricky to get the base's holes lined up with the screws, but after that it wasn't a problem, except lots of crystals to hang. From below and from several feet away when looking at the fixture, the 4 lights are well camouflaged within the crystals. The base facing down has a mirror finish so the crystals really sparkle, and the fixture looks very 'light.' You may want to order the lightbulbs as well.

The base plate was very hard if not impossible to install. I end up using two very long screws on going in from the bottom up into the small holes. Instead of what was directed which was to have the screws coming down from outlet and into very small and precise holes of the base plates. Once I figured that out it took me 5 minutes to install. The crystals were not bad - 40 minutes but worth it cause you saw it coming together.

I was replacing a 25 year old brass fixture in the small foyer. I have 8 foot ceilings, so this one fit perfectly. For some reason, 2 electricians took 40 minutes just to put up the base plate and I did hear them cursing twice. The bottom of the part mounted to the ceiling is a mirror. I think because they took so long and were going up and down and across the ceiling with it there ended up with a scratch on the mirror and a small chip. I love the fixture, but was disappointed with the installers who also left ton's of fingerprints on the mirrored part. So after I got those off, it took me about an hour to put on the 80 some glass balls. There are 87 pieces in total. The 4 halogen bulbs are not very bright, so this is def more for a foyer and not a main light source for a living room. It is a beautiful fixture, but I would recommend someone who really knows what they are doing to put it in, as I had 2 professional electricians and for some reason it took them 40 minutes without even putting the balls on.
