Honestly, the arm of this lamp is completely plastic and painted to look metal. The arm of our lamp broke and it shocked me to find out the poor quality of this lamp. I purchased it awhile ago, hence I have no receipt. It is amazing to spend close to 200 dollars on an attractive lamp, only to find that it is not what it is advertised. It looks metal, you pay for metal and then the only thing that is metal is the shade. Very disappointed here.

It's a very nice looking lamp. It does come with cord cover although not listed in description. The dimmer switch is disappointing...its either hi or low and there is no in-between. I was able to buy this lamp on sale which made it more worth the money.
