Original intent was gift for lighting at piano keyboard. Height was perfect in the showroom. didn't observe platform riser the lamp was on. Too short for intended use. Very attractive lamp for reading room/library. Dim to very bright light.

Perfect multi-adjustable reading light by my overstuffed recliner chair. Continuous dimmer switch. Solid base weight will not deteriorate over time (like some past Robert Abbey models).

This floor-lamp fits perfectly in the limited space at the end of my sofa. The double-jointed adjustable arm allows numerous configurations enabling spot-specific light to be positioned exactly where needed. Ideal for reading, studying or craftwork, even while watching TV. The lamp head accurately directs the light downward, or at a slight angle, preventing unwanted eye-level-glare from annoying others in the same room. The dark brass finish perfectly blends a deep chocolate-espresso with an organic copperish patina.
