love it, but no one said I had to put it

No, I would not recommend this to a friend

As a Living Room corner light. Love the lamp; it's beautiful, stylish, and just great. The actual material of the lamp is not so great. Where we had to put it together, the top color scraped off from the lamp leaving a white spot. I don't remember reading that I would have to put the lamp together. It was an extravagant lamp for me.
