We thought that (3) of these lights, I bought the medium size each hold 2-60 watt bulbs would be enough lighting. NOT! They are great ambiance for a hall but not to light a bathroom vanity! They are not as quality as some suggest, the glass varies in quality, I feel priced too high. They are cute up, I just want to see when putting on makeup or my husband shaving.
One on each side of my bathroom medicine cabinet look very high end. Gives me the apropriate lighting.
So glad that I order these bathroom lights. They are updated, stylish and totally changed the look of my bathroom. Very Zen!
These sconces are absolutely beautiful! Add a dimmer switch and you have the perfect mood lighting for a room. They are a little spendy, but completely worth it!
It took me 7 tries but I finally went with this light and it was my ORIGINAL choice!
I flanked recessed medicine cabinets with these sconces. The effect was a stunning soft glow intensified by the mirrored fronts of the cabinets. These sconces blended perfectly with the limestone on our floor and walls, as well as the mosaic glass/stone tiles of our shower. The curves are a nice juxtaposition against the rectangular corners of the vanity and medicine cabinets. They complement the old world bronze faucets we used as well as the veining in the granite. Just stunning!
I needed a sconce to hang in my stairwell that would accentuate its hight, as well as being equally attractive both looking up at it as well as down upon it. The fixture I had before had you staring straight at the bulb, when ever you were upstairs. This was the perfect solution
We love this sconce. We remodeled our basement and put two of them on a wall. They really finish the space and give it a warm updated look.
We used these hanging vertically like sconces on either side of bath mirrors and they look beautiful with our espresso colored vanity. Perhaps they were intended to be installed horizontally like a bar light, although I don't think it would look as nice. But, learn from our mistake - we didn't realize it takes a good bit of clearance from fixture to ceiling to remove the long shade to change the upper bulb, so we'll have to unscrew the fixture base from the wall every time. (had we known, we easily could have put the junction boxes lower when the wall was open during construction). As they are accent lights and on a dimmer, hopefully that won't be often. Because of the amberish tint to the shade, they would not put out sufficient light to put on makeup, etc. without a brighter primary source (we have high hats in the ceiling for this). They do produce a warm, soft light that creates a nice ambiance.
Wish I had purchased 2 instead of just one--it doesn't put out quite enough light on it's own and it is the only light in a powder room.
