Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I use this as an accent lamp in my living room. I have a mineral collection so this blends right in. I love the idea of having a part of the Himalayas right in my home as well. I was going to get the small one but am glad I got the medium instead. It is just beautiful both when lit and not lit. I'm hard to please but this item has really knocked my socks off!! The bulb is easy to replace, too.
