This floating ceiling fixture replaces an outdated fixture in the entryway to my condominium. I like the style of the fixture it is modern yet classic. The addition of three Philips 12.5 watt Ambient LED 60 watt bulbs throws off plenty of beautiful soft white light that is much more pleasing and energy efficient than the fixture it replaces. To wrap it all up, the price couldn't be beat.

It has capacity of 3 60 watt bulbs. I use it with 3 of the new LED bulbs (8 watts each giving equivalent of 40 watts of light each,supposed to last 20 years) in one bedroom, which is a sufficient amount of light. I installed one in another bedroom with 3 regular 60 watt bulbs (for comparison) and that makes for a lot of light...probably more than I need, and because the glass is slightly transparent, it makes the light overly bright if you are looking at it directly. Will probably switch that one to 3 LED's as well, or 3 40-watt-equivalent CFL's.

This is a very casual fixture for our guest bedroom. The windows are under a covered deck, so the room was always dim. This fixture puts out allot of light and the room is much brighter.

This light looks a little simpler than i thought it would because when it is up on the ceiling, you can't see the pole it hangs from, so you really only see the bottom. but, it is not flush to ceiling and that gives it a little more style. It fit our CFL bulbs well (the compact kind), and the cloudy glass means you don't see the bulbs which is important when using flourescents. for the price it was a great update to our hallway. I installed this light myself by just carefully taking down the old one and putting the new one back the same way. Not as hard as I thought it would be.
