I bought this to light a dark stairwell in a mountain cabin. The walls are all natural wood. It gives off great light and looks beautiful against the natural wood. I bought it because it will accommodate a 100 watt bulb--its bright enough to light up the stairs but not glaring.

You can't go wrong with this light fixture. There are also other lights that go with them. We just placed all new light fixtures in our home and in our cabin. We purchased everything through Lamps Plus. They have great customer service and if anything goes wrong (which it never did) they will fix it.

I bought four of these wall sconces for my remodel, which is an enclosed entryway. My style is a blend of craftsman and mission. I placed two of the sconces on one wall and two on an adjacent wall. They are adjustable so that two light shine up and two shine down. They are perfect for this setting.

I have 2 used on the fireplace in my basement den to add lighting and ambiance. The third one is in the hall off the den to add lighting for walk to bathroom and bedrooms in basement. Adds enough light for room when watching TV or visiting with friends. Not over powering. Great light in hallway when friends have children sleeping over who want a light left on in a strange home.
