I moved into my mom's house where she always had a fancy crystal chandelier...so not my style. I have a formal dining room but wanted a regal look without the crystal. Also, the chandelier was a pain to take apart to clean. I live with a smoker and it showed every ounce of smoke on the globes. These globes are frosted and do show the dirt like crystal. I love the look! and with 9 globes I have alot of light...which as I get older, I find I need!
