A slender, movable arm supports a halogen light head to give you full adjustability with both side-to-side and an up/down movement. A handle extends from the back of the light head making it easy to direct. A dimmer switch is located on the square backplate for easy lighting control. Plugs into any standard wall outlet.

It's a reading light. We use them to read. They hang on the wall leaving more room on the nightstands for other important stuff - like books and clocks and phones. The design lets me read without waking my hubby and visa versa.

The only thing wrong with this lamp was the fact that the faceplate wasn't aligned with the mounting bracket. So it took a couple of attempts before i realized this, but after adjusting the wall mounts, it was great. Otherwise, the construction is solid.
