I'm the one who complained about the icky brown paint covering the natural slate stone. I found you can remove it quite easily with an $8 plastic spray bottle of latex paint remover. Underneath is the blue/green slate pictured on the website. And the latex paint remover does not harm the metal finish so you don't even need to tape around the stone. Other comment, now that they're installed, is from my electrician. He used his own wire nuts and screws. The screws sent with the product kept stripping, and the wire nuts were low quality according to him. We've installed a ton of LampsPlus fixtures so far, and the wirenuts appear to be standard issue throughout the products, so perhaps this is an industry wide effort to save a dime.
