We needed to replace our nightstand lamps but could not find the right size, style, or ones that had easy access to the switch. I fell in love with these lamps the moment I saw them, they were just just what I had been looking for!
I had to keep costs down but I knew I wanted a solid metal base, not a 'resin' base. This lamp looks and feels like quality (like oil rubbed bronze). The touch mechanism works great (three levels of brightness- dim, background light, and reading light). The cord is not too stiff (I hate that). The lamp is small but has a good solid weight to it. Note: I did not realize the lamp came with its proper bulb, so I ordered extras. I am actually glad to have the extras though.
This a great light for a nightstand. Perfect to be able to easily turn on at night with a touch when needed. No fumbling for a switch. So hard to find a touch lamp that actually looks nice so this was a great find.
It is a touch lamp which is great to use on the nite stand in the bedroom.
It's harder than you might think to find a touch lamp in bronze. Purchased three of these: on for our home office and two for our bedside tables. They are a little small (around 3 feet tall) but are relatively well built and had a nice, cloth shade. They use a small, halogen bulb, which I'm hoping won't be too hard to replace. Overall, a nice product for the price.
I ordered two of these for my bedroom side tables. One arrived not working. Mailed it back on their dime pretty simply. Kind of annoying, hence taking it down a star, but worth it in the end. I wasn't sure if I would order based on another reviewer who said his arrived broken, but I'm glad I took the chance. I have arthritis in my fingers and it is so nice at the end of the day to just tap the lamp on and off and not need to mess with a switch. On high it gives off plenty of light for reading in bed, and the lowest setting is nice for calming down and chatting while I wind down toward sleep. And they are pretty! Love the design compared to the cheap-looking ones I saw on other sites that seemed to be marketed to tweenagers or something. I feel like I found a gem here.
