This lamp was a bit pricey but I'm glad I ordered it anyway. It really does look great in our family room and the design is perfect. It fits under the sofa and the on/off switch is easy to get to.

This floor lamp is solid and sturdy. The base is wide and can slide under a sofa or table if needed. We kept saying "Wow" as we removed it from the box! It is truly a stunning and timeless looking piece. The on/off dimmer switch is easy to get to while sitting down. The black nickel finish compliments most contemporary designs... it's beautiful and practical!

I have this lamp in a corner that needs more light, and it does a great job, reaching into the room over the ends of a couple of couches. My main complaint is that it uses a dimmer switch, so I can't use it with compact fluorescent bulbs unless I'm willing to twist the dimmer all the way from off to fully on.
