Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I was looking for something to update my 1960's Cape Cod - this light is classic and a bit coastal - the seeded glass globe is really attractive. I like the proportions of the light - too often people use fixtures that are too small. This is a good size to offset a double garage door and doesn't get lost on a house.
The price point on this lighting fixture is reasonable - I think you get a great quality and stylish light for the price. I was specifically looking for black fixture collections that offered hanging, wall mount and post mount lights, which was difficult to find in lower price ranges.
The light was easy to install - the only concern I have is that you have to unscrew and lower the whole globe to change the light bulb which is a bit awkward, as opposed to changing it from the bottom of the globe. Also, the screws that hold the globe to the top of the fixture are not very long and it took two of us to support the globe and screw the fixture together to avoid dropping or breaking it. So, in all - this is a beautiful fixture that has really updated our house, but I would recommend two people to hold the globe and change the bulb (or change out the upper screws to something longer). I will be ordering my matching hanging porch light and post lantern shortly!
