Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This light worked for about 9 months then stopped. I thought it was light dimmer problem, sat on it for a while, but it turns out the ballast had gone out. Unfortunately, I found that out just a year after the purchase, when the manufacturer warranty ran out. My extended warranty protection on Visa does not cover installed items. Another thing to note is that this thing eats up the light bulbs quickly. During the 9 months, I think I changed all 4 bulbs twice. I probably used the light ~4 hrs a day on average. Lampsplus nor the manufacturer lists the warranty terms for this product at all - I had to call to find out. I'm definitely not buying anything from Access Lighting, the manufacturer, and probably not from Lampsplus again. I'm ordering a new ballast out of my own money for $70. Hoping it'll work for another 9 months. After, I'll be selling my place so I guess I don't really care.
