I've looked at a lot of lamps in high end stores and the quality of this lamp is the best I've seen. The switch is located on the cord about 15" from the base so it hangs off the side of my table where it can't be seen. So many other lamps have the switch on the base of the lamp in full view which detracts from the appearance. I will be purchasing the floor lamp to match. If you love modern, you'll love this.
