Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Bought this for the alcove surrounded by my staircase sight unseen. Even though I knew the dimensions, it was not til it was assembled that I realized how very big it was. My husband loves it, so it will stay. The big drawback is that it seems almost impossible to change the bulbs. The electrician feels it will take 3 people to accomplish this! It has a very warm glow when on, due to the carmel glass.
