I love this lamp. It's the perfect size for my office/sewing room/guest room which doesn't have any light source in the room except for the closet. It was really easy to install. I hung it on the ceiling in the middle of the room on the 4th chain link and connected it to an outlet which is controlled by the main switch . The lamp doesn't sway at all ( I guess if someone were to bump their head on it, it would probably sway ) I used a 100 watt max bulb and it gives a nice bright illumination to the entire room. I can work on my PC, use my sewing machine and work on my crafts without straining my eyes. The lamp was packaged extremely well for shipping. Also I want to give my sales consultant, CHARLES P. a compliment. He was very professional and listened to what my needs were.

My treadmill is in a relatively dark corner and the other room lights don't make it easy to read while using the treadmill. This is perfect for that purpose.

It is really easy to install. The lampshade had a small discolored mark on it, but frankly I couldn't be bothered to return and exchange for another one. Its not bad looking, but the chain really kind of is an eyesore to me, but I knew that going into it. I have a rather large bedroom, so we used this in combination with another floor lamp to fully light the room. I don't think it really gives off enough light even with the highest wattage acceptable to be used alone, but we needed something overhead and have no hard-wiring so it does the job. Instead of using the switch on the cord we connected it to an outlet which is controlled by our main switch which saves a lot of hassle.

I have an awkward room that has dormers. Most lights do not work well because of the ceiling shape. This was wonderful because I could hang it in the middle and I did a double swag to get beyond the dormer. Looks fabulous

I love this lamp. It's a great size, great illumination, easy to install, etc. The only problem is that the on/off toggle switch is located near the end of the cord, close to where it plugs in to the socket. For the current purpose, no problem. But I want to get another one for another spot in the house, and that just won't work. For spaces where the outlet is hidden behind furniture and not controlled by a switch, you'd have to get a electric-savvy person to make changes to the cord for you--and if I have to hire an electrician, it sort of defeats the point of the easy-to-install swag. At that point, just go with a hard-wiring.

We added one of these on each side of the bed with curtains behind to hide the chain. The light is excellent for reading. We mounted the in-line switches on the back on the headboard with velcro tape. They work great and look very "boutique hotel". Really, these lights are inexpensive, practical, and stylish. Does it get any better?
