This fixture has a quality appearance.......at least from a distance and will serve well if not inspected closely. The fabric shade has the more expensively made pleated surface, fabric a deeper beige, not cream. Treat it gingerly when installing since those brass straps are easily bent. The bottom difuser is plastic. I covered it with a tone-on-tone patterned fabric of the same color and upgraded the finial. It is an effective fixture for the price, one of the few out there that isn't ghastly.

although I like and kept the fixture, it was a not cream color as I expected, but was more of a champagne/taupe color
