I bought the Woodlands table lamp for my night stand and it is the perfect addition to our bedroom. I use this excellent item as a bedside lamp. Everyone I've shown it to adores it. It has real heft, and the shade is silky and smart-looking. The best feature is the little lantern; it actually swings back and forth. This lantern came disassembled to keep it from breaking in transit, and was great fun to put together. No, really, it was. The only negative thing I can think of is that it's not the sort of lamp you'd choose for primary illumination; on the other hand, I don't think that's what it was designed to do. All in all, it's absolutely worth the money.

This lamp has a high-quality shade, although it's not apparent in the photos. I bought it for the small hanging lantern, which functions as a nightlight by my bedside. Everyone to whom I've shown this lamp wants the blasted thing, and I don't blame them. It's truly charming.
