As part of the partnership, Lamps Plus will donate new lighting and home furnishings to create homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lamps Plus\u2019 partnership\nwith ASOH will be on display during the seventh annual WestEdge Design Fair, Oct. 24-27, at the Barker Hangar at Santa Monica\nAirport. The company is showing a display\nvignette of exclusive designs curated by Lamps Plus brand ambassador and interior\ndesigner Lori Dennis within WestEdge. New products shown in the display will be\nauctioned off and shipped to winners in an online silent auction, with all auction\nproceeds benefiting ASOH, and the floor models will also be donated to ASOH for\nuse in a new home creation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, Lamps Plus and Lori Dennis partnered with ASOH for\na Designer Challenge, designing a new home in the Los Angeles area for a family\nin need. The video of that project will be shown at WestEdge and made available\non the Lamps Plus YouTube channel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cA Sense of\nHome has created a remarkable program in Los Angeles for helping transitioning\nyouth,\u201d said Dennis Swanson, Lamps Plus founder and CEO. \u201cLamps Plus is a\nfamily owned private company, so the ASOH mission hits home for us, and we are\nhonored to be a part of their growing program. It\u2019s an exciting opportunity to\nhelp expand it to more regions and to broaden our efforts to serve more at-risk\nindividuals in the coming years.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLamps Plus has long supported charitable housing\nprograms as part of its goal to strengthen communities and families,\u201d said Georgie\nSmith, founder of A Sense of Home. \u201cWe\u2019re so\ngrateful to Lamps Plus for its support and commitment of our efforts to serve\nfoster youth, and we look forward to opening an exciting new partnership with\nthem.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Founded in 2014, ASOH relies on a network of volunteers\nand corporate donors to supply everything needed to create a home. Recipients\npay it forward, working alongside a community of volunteers and an all former\nfoster youth staff to create the homes. ASOH began in Los Angeles and is ready\nto expand to other regions. In close to five years, the organization has\ncreated almost 500 homes serving 1,400 at-risk youth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ASOH\nestimates that there are over 500,000 young people in the foster care system\nnation-wide. Thirty percent of them are at risk of ending up homeless. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ASOH partnership is the latest corporate giving effort by Lamps Plus to help families and individuals in need.
