Most homes don\u2019t have enough and rely too much on overhead <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lampsplus.com\/products\/recessed-lighting\/\">recessed lighting<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Multiple sources of light creates dramatic pools and layers of light. This helps create a look like you would see in an expensive restaurant or a Hollywood movie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To help get the look, use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lampsplus.com\/products\/dimmers\/\">dimmers<\/a>! These allow you to easily set the light level for different activities, and to vary the light coming from differnet lamps and fixtures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tip two &#8211; create a focal point for your room.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many rooms feel uncomfortable to be in because they lack a focal point, a place that draws your eye in and lets us know what the room is for. Use a sofa to anchor a living room, or a headboard in a bedroom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tip three \u2013 reflect natural light, bring outside light in.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outside light is the designer\u2019s secret friend, and it\u2019s time for you to make use of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To do so, just position a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lampsplus.com\/products\/mirrors\/\">wall mirror<\/a> to reflect the light and color of the outside world back into your room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tip four \u2013 create a happy work space.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many of us are working from home these days, working from kitchen counters, dining room tables, and maybe, if we\u2019re lucky, even from a home office space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First off, de-clutter your work table. To the extent that you can, get rid of any distractions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, get comfortable with proper seating, like an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lampsplus.com\/products\/seating\/type_office-chairs\/\">office desk chair<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And don&#8217;t forget proper <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lampsplus.com\/products\/desk-lamps\/\">desk lamp lighting<\/a>.
