Ceiling fan wobble kits come with only three items, which is all you need to both diagnose and fix the imbalance in your ceiling fan: a plastic clip, a metal counterweight, and a simple adhesive. The plastic clip is used as a temporary attachment to locate the perfect spot to place the metal counterbalance, which uses the adhesive to remain in place.<\/p>\n

To begin fixing your ceiling fan’s wobble, make sure to switch off the power to your ceiling fan for safety. This can be done by switching off the wall switch, or turning off power from your circuit breaker. Then, tighten all of the screws on your fan to ensure looseness is not part of the problem. Next, it’s time to play detective! Snap the plastic clip about halfway down one of the blades, then turn the fan back on to test the wobble. To be certain of the result, repeat this step with every fan blade until you find the problem child. The fan should turn more smoothly with the plastic clip on the correct blade.<\/p>\n

With the troublemaker isolated, its time to find the perfect sweet spot to install the permanent counterweight. Finally, remove the temporary plastic clip and replace it with the metal counterweight using the included adhesive.
