Excellent Fan
The fan is beautiful and looks exactly as shown in pictures. The fan circulates air extremely well and I have the fan flush mounted on a high vaulted ceiling. My intention was to use a down rod however, there was a piece missing that prevented the electrician to use the down rod. As noted by another reviewer there is little room for all of the wires. The electrician cut the wires to make more room, which worked. Given these two installation issues the fan took longer to install, but the final product made it worth it. I chose the Rust ceiling fan light kit with Scavo glass (01073) because it gave off more light (3-60 watt) than the other light kits shown with the fan.

Pros: Works in Both Directions, Attractive, Quiet, Range of Speeds, Circulates Air Well

Cons: Difficult to Install

Best Uses: Decorative, Air Circulation

Remarkable Quality
The fit-and-finish of this fan is excellent. The housing components, the cosmetic coating on the hardware, and the fan blades themselves are all perfectly finished. And the subtle hues of the colors are exactly as pictured on the website, which I was very happy about. (As a side-note, the painted surface finish lends itself well to additional painting accents for that artistic touch, if you so desire).
All of the components, especially the parts that need to be robust, are well made and built to last (which, incidentally, makes it easier to put together).
The instructions are pretty clear and well written...however, they call out "item A, item B," and so on, yet my parts bags were not labeled. But as you can imagine, it was easy enough to figure out what's what simply based on shapes and sizes, as there aren't that many parts to assemble. It even came with extra screws and such.
The fan works just as well as it should, and appears to be balanced on first install, but then again, it's flush (rigid) mounted, so I' not seeing the "shakes" as others might on a down-rod installation.
If I had to make one complaint, it was the challenge to carefully (read: safely) stuff all of the wires into the switch housing to finish off the installation. There are switches, a module, and too many wires in that little housing, and it stuffs tightly against the bottom flange. Not a major deal, though.
All in all, I love this fan!
