Charge the base first - a full charge will take around four hours. Then swap out the existing bulbs in your lamp for low-voltage 5 watt bulbs. (Please note that only one such bulb is included with this particular lamp, and any other bulbs must be purchased separately.) Then plug your lamp into the battery pack base for a full 8 to 10 hour run time.
