GREAT LITTLE READING LAMP
Purchased 3 of these LED goose neck reading lamps starting in January of 2013. Unfortunately, the last of the three died about a month ago-problem unknown but suspect LED burnout. Since I couldn't remember where I purchased them, i bought two lesser quality lamps from amazon. They did not suit my applications. Then I remembered that I keep PowerPoint records of all of my internet purchases and found that they were purchased from LAMP PLUS. I recently purchased two lamps to replace 2 of the 3. My wife and I each have our own lamps on our headboard. These lamps have a powerful and too wide of a light pattern right out of the box. I remedied this by taping a PVC electrical conduit connector, at the end of the lamp which is the same diameter of the lamp barrel. This narrowed the beam down to an acceptable width.I am very happy with this product and with Lamps Plus.

OK if it works. Mine didn't!
My first lamp worked fro about a half hour and died. I called customer service and they promptly sent me a replacement. That one worked for about a month, now dead as a door nail.. Not recommended!

Great work/hobby light
No assembly at all...great work light for hobbies. Bought mine for a small light to work on my RC car. The neck could use a little bit more spring to it. Great value.

Perfect Bedtime Reading Lamp
The clamp allowed us to mount these light fixtures on the top of our wrought iron bed. You can direct the light in such a way that your partner can go to sleep and not be disturbed. Due to their stream line design, during the day they just seem to disappear and do not detract from the other bedside lamps and décore. Very well made and look more expensive than they cost.

The neck is a little too pliant and causes the lamp itself to be a little too droopy. But mostly it stays in place and is useful.

Even better than described
I use this product for medical purposes. As I have had a larangectomy operation it is necessary to clean my prosthesis several times a day. By using this lamp I can direct the lighting to the exact section that I need to see.

PERFECT NIGHTIME READING LAMP
My wife and I both like to read in bed just before going to sleep. We had two previous lamps: one stopped working (transformer gave out), the other, a halogen, ran very hot and was difficult to adjust. Six weeks ago I searched the internet to find this little gem at LAMPS PLUS. We ordered two of them. I was sceptical about it being a single LED, but much to my suprise it lights up the whole bedroom! In fact the unit is TOO bright to allow one of us, who may doze off earlier, to not be flooded with light. The solution to this was to attach a PVC conduit 'coupler' at the barrel end of the lamp, which happens to be the exact same diameter. This effectively changed the lamp from a Floodlight to a Spotlight. Today I am ordering two more units as I found another usefull application of this lamp: to illuminate the numbers in my new CD Jukebox carousel. The Clip-On feature is great and allows me to place the lighting just where I need it. I highly recommend this product to anyone wanting small area lighting at very reasonable cost. I'm sure the LED will last a long time but didn't see replacement bulbs offered.
