Super bright LED torchiere

One week in, this looks to be just what I hoped when I ordered it- a bright (but dimmable) lamp. Build quality is OK- three segment tube holds together well. It was a little awkward to put together.

I wanted to like it

I liked the style of the lamp, and the price was reasonable, especially on sale for around $115. It arrived in a box that was somewhat dented, but I saw no obvious issues when I first unpacked it. But when I was assembling, it, I saw a small dent in the metallic base, which is clearly visible. The dent was nowhere near the damaged part of the box, so it must have been a manufacturing or quality control issue. I went ahead and put it together anyway, because I wanted to see what it looked like. Assembly wasn't difficult. The lamp looks good in person, and the light is pleasing. However, when you turn it on and it's at the lower end of the dimmer, the LED gives a flickering light which is very annoying and requires that you turn it higher. I don't know if they're all like this or if mine was a lemon. Also, the plastic diffuser at the top of the lamp I received is off center and is not level. I have emailed customer support at Lamps Plus in the hopes of having all of these issues resolved. But even if the lamp had no defects, the lamp itself does not have the feel of a quality product. It's lighter than I expected (the whole lamp moves when you turn it on), and it has a poorer build quality than a halogen torchiere that I purchased years ago for about $60. Of course prices are higher now, and you get what you pay for, but at this price, I was expecting more.

LIKE THE STYLE, HOWEVER, THE BULB FLICKERS UNLESS IT IS ON FULL LIGHT. NOT ABLE TO DIM IT TO LOW LIGHT. VERY DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE WE LIKE TO BE ABLE TO DIM TO LOW LIGHT WHEN APPROPRIATE.
