This sleek, five-light island chandelier has an updated industrial look with an elegant frame in brushed nickel finish metal. Perfect as either traditional or contemporary decor, with beautiful thick, tapered clear glass shades. Each glass shade hangs from the frame by a short length of decorative, heavy duty rope.

This looks heavy. Will a standard mounted junction box support or do you need to reinforce the box with additional ceiling support?

The tube lights seem unusual and I'm worried about their availability in the future. Would candle bulbs with the same medium base fit in those glass shades or isn't there enough room?

BEST ANSWER: A replacement glass shade for this chandelier is offered. Please contact our Customer Service Department for assistance on pricing and availability and reference glass Style #16J27. They can be reached by calling 1-800-782-1967. This uses five maximum 60 watt standard-medium base T-10 tube bulbs but, you may use shorter bulbs as well.
Are the rods long enough to install on a 12’ ceiling over a dining area?

BEST ANSWER: We installed ours over an island in a kitchen with 10’ ceilings. The total drop is 39 inches from ceiling to bottom of light fixture glass. Hope that helps.

what is the distance of the two down rods? Then what is the distance of the single point rod connecting to the lights? Are their shorter ones included or able to shorten?

BEST ANSWER: The two rods are about 4 inches apart. The single down rod is about 18 inches long. The two down rods are adjustable in height.

Hello, I like this chandelier but the glass is too heavy. I'm afraid that if it falls down it will break my granite top. How well does it hold the glass? and how is it secured?

BEST ANSWER: I apologize for taking so long to respond. We have 9 foot ceilings, and we like how it looks. It is probably a matter of opinion, but with 8 foot ceilings, it might hang too low. I guess it depends on how tall you stand whether or not it would be in the way.

BEST ANSWER: I have 8ft ceilings. Mine hangs over a table. The extension bars at the top won't fit. It is a bit too large for my space. Folks have bumped their heads occasionally .
I would like to confirm. Can be mounted on a sloped ceiling? An answer was posted that it cannot; however, the item description states that it can be adapted to a sloped ceiling. Please confirm.

BEST ANSWER: The recommended bulb is a T10 (tubular) bulb with a standard medium base (E26). The average height of a T10 bulb is approximately 5 inches which will fit perfectly. The height of the glass for this fixture is 6.25 inches and the width of the glass is 3.75 inches.
My island is 90" wide x 39" and trying to determine if this will be wide enough to look appropriate?

BEST ANSWER: yes it is. However, it needs a higher ceiling than I have (log Home). I have it over a kitchen table and a few folks have bumped their heads. An Island sounds more ideal. Very attractive though. We will be relocating it above a pool table.

BEST ANSWER: The unit includes 6'ft of electrical cord and two 6" and six 12" inch rods (one 6" for each side and 3 12" inch for each side).

Beautiful addition over our kitchen island

Terrific update for our kitchen island!
Love the style and the light. We used LED Edison style bulbs and that really makes the fixture shine. The clear glass is perfect with these bulbs. Using a dimmer switch is good as it is bright with the 5 bulbs, nice to have a soft light option. Quality of the fixture is great for both materials and workmanship.
