BEST ANSWER: It depends how close you are sitting to it. If you are reading next to it then it should be fine.

I would say no. It also isn’t really tall enough. However, it is a beautiful lamp and I love it. I use it on a small console table in a hall and it is perfect. Great price too!

possibly. But you would have to use an LED bulb that throws out more light than a traditional bulb so you don’t overload the wattage limit on the lamp.

i would say it would be difficult to read by the light from this lamp. We bought it more as an accent piece rather than a lamp to read by.

I do not think that it provides enough light if you want to read. It is more of an accent light; but I do LOVE it!!

Lovely little lamp

I love this little lamp! Perfect height for a side table in my attic space. Colors are just as pictured. Very good quality, just gorgeous. Easy assembly. I purchased with the recommended lightbulbs, everything works great!
