Hi! I'm interested in replacing the reading lamps in my library with these lamps as they feature both electric and USB outlets. The existing lamps are mounted to the tables with the electric cord coming out of the bottom of the lamp and threaded thru a hole in the table top. I'm curious whether or not these lamps are designed this way or if they could be adapted this way? Thanks!

The cords for these lamps come out through a hole in the side of the base. The bottom of the base is covered with a felt material that I don’t wish to remove, so I don’t know if the cord could be adapted. I want to tell you that the base is quite weighty and makes it very steady. Also, you won’t be disappointed in how much light they can produce! Excellent reading lamps!
BEST ANSWER:Yes they have more of a brushed nickel finish. Theyre beautiful lamps but one of the bulb outlets stopped working after a year. Not sure what caused it but I have two of them and one of them still works like it's supposed too. So it might work out for you.

Yes. Lamps are on or off by pull-chain directly to the bulb holder. USB and plugs are active as soon as unit is plugged in. I use the USB plug to charge my phone all the time.
I love these lamps. So convenient to recharge my phone at night and plug in a humidifier. I wanted a softer look so I covered the stem with one of those fabric chandelier Velcro covers and it looks shabby chic!
Perfect bedside lamps for our spare bedroom. Functional and easy to use. Adjustable lighting with just a pull of the chain. I would recommend these lamps
