How far from the panel is the first light in the string of lights ?

BEST ANSWER: Hi - spacing is 4 3/4-inches apart, distance from plug to first light is 8-feet, 7-inches.
I bought some antique garden lanterns thar are electrical right now. I woule like to use solar but have no access to use inside the lantern because it has a metal top. What set up could I use to use solar?

BEST ANSWER: It would be best to replace your lights with ones that already have the solar feature.
