We bought two. These are used in our Dining room and family room. I only wish they made one exactly like this in a 42-44 inch because I'd love 3 that size in our bedrooms! The dual mountable is awesome as we have lower ceilings and these worked perfect with the hugger style. Love these fans!

One Wasn't Enough

We have this fan in both our bedroom, and our daughters. We have high, slanted ceilings, so the extension rod is a must (we went with 18"). During hot days, the heat collects in the upper bedrooms. Without AC, the rooms get hot and stuffy. These fans work great and circulate the air so well we've forgotten how hot the rooms used to get. Both directions work well. They are very quiet and actually produce just enough ambient noise to help us sleep. And above all, they look good.

This fan moves air really well - would recommend it for any small to medium sized room. It also comes with an optional down-rod - if you have tall ceilings (or it can be flush for short ones). The only gripe I have is that its stability is not very good - especially at full speed. It takes a while to settle down - but functions perfectly after it settles down. Beware of the remote settings - you need to get them right before/during the install, otherwise you might have to redo part of the install.

Purchased this fan, and then a second exactly like it for the next room over. The style fits our home perfectly and looks wonderful. It is remote only - not sure if that's a pro or a con yet, but don't lose the remote! I gave the fan 5 stars, even though it isn't very bright because I haven't tried new bulbs yet. The ones which came with the fan give off that annoying yellow/orange color more than actual light for the room. Whatever, I bought it for the air circulation anyway.

Quiet and well balanced

Cons:
Not Bright Enough
Best Uses:
Larger Rooms, Air Circulation, Decorative

This is an excellent ceiling fan. I have installed a number of ceiling fans and this is definitely the quietest and most well balanced I have ever installed. Even though a balance kit was included, I didn't need it. I installed it with a 48" down rod and there isn't any wobble at all. With this long of a down rod even the slightest wobble will show. The main complaint I have is the canopy is barely large enough to cover the wires and ceiling box. By the time you put the remote control receiver inside there is very little room and it makes getting the screws started a bit of a challenge. The result is installation is a little more difficult than it needs to be. Also, I would have preferred a bit brighter light but primary reason we bought the ceiling fan was for the fan not the light so it's not a big deal. The fan has been in for a couple of months and so far it has worked flawlessly. No question the quality is superior to the fans sold at Home Depot or Lowes, of course it does cost more. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Highly Functional with Contemporary Look

Even though the printed directions were of a general nature such that some of the specifics did not really match the particular model, installation was relatively straight-forward. My only snag had to do with the existing anchor box in my 75 y/o house not matching the hole spacing on the hanger for this new fan. Fortunately, an adapter bracket was available off-the-shelf at the hardware store to mate the two together. After resolving that and ensuring the new bracket was sufficiently secured, installation was completed in a couple of hours. The fan has clean, contemporary lines, and matches very nicely the dark wood and oil-rubbed bronze finishes of other fixtures and furnishings in my living room. The wireless remote control with dimmable light worked like a charm with my existing single hot wire hookup.

Good fan but not very attractive

I've installed many fans before but I had to have an electrician do this one because of the remote control piece that gets installed inside the fan. I like this fan but it is fairly unattractive so gets no points for looks.
