Quiet and well balanced

Not Bright Enough

This is an excellent ceiling fan. I have installed a number of ceiling fans and this is definitely the quietest and most well balanced I have ever installed. Even though a balance kit was included, I didn't need it. I installed it with a 48" down rod and there isn't any wobble at all. With this long of a down rod even the slightest wobble will show. The main complaint I have is the canopy is barely large enough to cover the wires and ceiling box. By the time you put the remote control receiver inside there is very little room and it makes getting the screws started a bit of a challenge. The result is installation is a little more difficult than it needs to be. Also, I would have preferred a bit brighter light but primary reason we bought the ceiling fan was for the fan not the light so it's not a big deal. The fan has been in for a couple of months and so far it has worked flawlessly. No question the quality is superior to the fans sold at Home Depot or Lowes, of course it does cost more. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Highly Functional with Contemporary Look

Even though the printed directions were of a general nature such that some of the specifics did not really match the particular model, installation was relatively straight-forward. My only snag had to do with the existing anchor box in my 75 y/o house not matching the hole spacing on the hanger for this new fan. Fortunately, an adapter bracket was available off-the-shelf at the hardware store to mate the two together. After resolving that and ensuring the new bracket was sufficiently secured, installation was completed in a couple of hours. The fan has clean, contemporary lines, and matches very nicely the dark wood and oil-rubbed bronze finishes of other fixtures and furnishings in my living room. The wireless remote control with dimmable light worked like a charm with my existing single hot wire hookup.

I've installed many fans before but I had to have an electrician do this one because of the remote control piece that gets installed inside the fan. I like this fan but it is fairly unattractive so gets no points for looks.

Awesome Fan

This is a great fan. It looks great and is extremely quiet (almost silent). It didn't take much to balance it and there is barely a wobble on high speed. It was no more difficult to install than any other fan I have installed. Anybody that is reasonably handy would have no problem installing the fan. The one thing I did not like about the fan was the remote unit. The fan side of the remote is a rather large box that need to be installed above the fan. It took a little work to get it to fit. A built in unit would make much more sense and create an easier install. Other than that I love the fan. I plan on installing this fan in all my other rooms. Lamps Plus shipped the fan quickly.
