We bought one of these for the main bedroom and three of the cheaper, but similar looking, Monte Carlo fans, for the children's rooms. The Minke Aire model was about twice as expensive, but we think, well worth it so we bought more of them for the downstairs rooms. It is solidly built. Also, the included remote controls are randomly coded at the factory; for the other fans, all the remotes are set to the same channel, by default. We did not discover this until we found that all fans go on and off simultaneously!

The Concept 1 fan is being used in our home exercise room. It looks great and works well. The only minor criticism is the color of the remote. It should match the fan. Also, the design of its case should enable it to be placed better over an existing light switch for a better appearance in the room.

This fan has great cooling ability. Circulates air really well. Has 4 speeds and have never had to use the highest. The remote control is very convenient.

I use four of these fans to decrease my A/C use. By moving air, I feel cooler even though I put the thermostat in a 3 to 5 degree higher setting. This is not unique to this fan This fan runs quietly except that two have an occasional soft clicking sound at the point where the ball joint rests in the bracket that is screwed to the electrical box. I can stop it by gently swaying the fan, but the sound will return in 20 minutes.

It replaced an old fan in our bedroom (about 12 x 15 ft). I love that is blends into our white ceiling because the height of our room is just the standard height. You don't even notice it's there. And, it works much better than our old fan. I was suspect of only 3 blades, and its contemporary look, but no worries now. I'd buy it again.
