From Minka, this Artemis ceiling fan has a mahogany finish and matching, contoured aerodynamic vanes with an infinite variable pitch. The 188 x 25mm motor has a lifetime warranty. We installed 3 of these Artemis ceiling fans in our new Bali house style in Costa Rica. This ceiling fan is the best, works great, and we use it all the time. The one that got fried by the thunder lighting this week, we always use by our bedroom. We really need to replace it. I wonder if it's only a switch that needs replacing. Anyone has experience out there for this type of fan?

Love the looks! So modern. Looks like an airplane propellor. Everyone who walks into the living room oohs and aah's about it. The blades are 58" and it circulates the air well. We have vaulted ceilings. It is very quiet and the light puts out good illumination. We had an electrician install it. Would never tackle this on our own. Putting the blades on seemed like it required a little skill.

George Kovacs has designed THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ceiling fan in the world. When we moved to South Orange County, I realized that ceiling fans were going to be a WAY OF LIFE since the summer does get hot! Because I like a more contemporary "look", I knew I had a task in front of me to find a good looking Fan for the bedroom ceiling (which is low, by the way). I began by purchasing one Artemis fan for the bedroom. The electricians, who are ceiling fan specialists from San Juan Capistrano, were full of compliments on the looks and function of this ceiling fan. We now have THREE Artemis fans: bedroom, living room, and office. I cherish each one of them and appreciate the HUGE savings I get from NOT having to run the air conditioning very often. On the center down light, you have the option of having the light, or you can cover the area with a plate that matches the wood. In the living room, I have the mahogany plate because I do not want the light. The light is glarey, so on the other two fans, I only use it as evening light to see when going into the room. The fan comes with a control on the wall where you light switch is. It is very functional in running the fan speeds and reverse as well as the light if you so choose. No remotes, no chains. Guests to our house always comment on the ceiling fans, and ask me where to purchase them. ("Lamps Plus!") They are a bit pricey but worth it! We use our ceiling fans all the time, and love the look and quiet and air distribution they provide for us. In MY opinion, this is the only ceiling fan I've seen that "adds" to the design of the room. I LOVE MY GEORGE KOVACS Artemis Fans!
