The light wouldn't be great if you want a warm lighting feel for the room. I like the "daylight" look of these bulbs, and they match my other "daylight" CFL bulbs in my home, as well as the superwhite LED lights I use as accent lighting in my home theater and display cabinets. However, most people that were used to or prefer warm light seem to get used to this "daylight" color eventually. I prefer 6500k, which is bright and very superwhite, similar to HID headlights on luxury cars (such as mine). I believe 2700k is an average "warm" light color, which most standard Incandescent and some CFL bulbs come in.
