I bought this light as it was the same diameter as a 6 arm chandelier that I replaced. It looked much larger when I got it as it is 14" high and fairly solid unlike what was there before it. I struggled before hanging it as to whether it was too large. Everyone who saw it thought it was perfect so up it went. It is the most fabulous looking light I have ever owned - definitely a focal point of the dining room. Gives discreet light that glows through the metal strips.

I was super surprised when I opened the box and pulled out this product. It was much larger than I expected and very heavy due to the metal shade. It's a nice mix of classic styling with a modern edge. Looks like a one of a kind that you would commission someone to make. Definitely looks like it should cost much more that the price. I assume you might need a reinforced light box to hang it because of the weight.

[...] Th woven strips of metal are a silvery bronze shade that also appears faintly golden due to the taupe shade that its covering . The size is generous unlike some drum shade fixtures which are dinky . The shade itself is 14 inches deep , I like the drama it creates in my living room which is a big open space . I placed it over my chocolate brown leather couch and with the mid tone green i painted the walls adds some sexy zing to my color scheme . It has a urban feel due to the finish and the strips of metal which are not all smooth and flat looking . I am pleased because it is not a cookie cutter fixture . Thanks Lamps Plus !

We purchased this pendant as a focal point when we were redecorating a sitting room. We have 8' ceilings and it is a very large pendant, but it looks fabulous and we get compliments all the time! It was slightly difficult to hang it while making the cable as short as possible, but for higher ceilings it would be no problem. The glow when illuminated is incredible!
