The previous review with measurements was very helpful because the product description isn't very detailed. We were looking for a pair like this to use as bedside lamps but most in this style were too large, so this size was perfect. The only complaint is when you are sitting under the lamp, the glare is too harsh, even though we used a lower 40-watt bulb. So our solution was to cut round paper "snowflakes" and slide them just inside the rounded shade, where they rest on the bottom edge. Problem solved (remember, we are using lower wattage bulbs and only turn the lights on for short periods of time)!Images/Videos shared by: LD
I wanted an arc light to compliment my barcelona chair and go with my mid-century modern theme. All the Arc Lamps I've previously found were much too large (depth from back of base to front of lamp). They simply arced out to far into the space I had for it. I was ready to give up when I saw this one and from the picture it appeared to have the right depth. The only problem is there are no specifications for this measurement so I called Lamps Plus. They contacted the manufacturer but couldn't get the number I needed. My next step was to guestimate the arcs reach by using the known width of the baseplate and some shaky process I won't get into. Bottom line is I believed it was the right size and ordered it. It just came in today and assembly was a breeze - did it myself in about 20 minutes. The lamp looks great, is a well made beefy piece (the base is huge; 3 inches thick and very heavy) and is everything I hoped. By the way, it is approx 43 inches from the back of the base to the front of the lamp (in other words it projects out into a room roughly 43 inches).Images/Videos shared by: ScubaCarl
