Just did unpack this lamp. It is very well made. The adjustable position stays where you put it. Unlike a lot of desk lamps, this one will take a 100 watt bulb. Cost more than average desk lamp but well worth it. Very prompt delivery.

I do a lot of bead and jewelry work, and needed to replace a similar but cheaper light that had broken. I wanted to buy a better quality lamp, and after reading the reviews and description, this one seemed promising without breaking the bank. Wasn't disappointed! One of the most important things to me was that it would hold itself up, down, or wherever I chose to position it (my old light habitually fell downward until almost touching the table top). So far, it has maintained it's tension and illuminates my work area well. Seems to be of sturdy and quality construction. Also has a somewhat sleek look. Overall I'm very satisfied with this lamp.
