I bought this chandelier for a vaulted section of ceiling over a staircase. I love it! It coordinated with chandeliers I purchased for a nearby room without being too "matchy". I love the silver color of the fixture itself with the neutral taupe/gold tone of the shade. It is very bright. So much so that we may install a dimmer. I would say that the shade is more of a gold than an olive as decribed in the listing, but a nice fairly neutral tone.
