I have a 1960's chrome and glass table (now an antique I guess) with a clean, modern look. I had a challenge finding a pendant chandelier that was in the polished chrome finish and looked great. The Uttermost works perfectly. It is fun as well as classy and it finishes the look I wanted over my dining room table. It comes with a very long cord that I did not have the installer cut. I kept the cord wrapped up in the ceiling piece rather than cut it, because when I move my new light is coming with me and I now have the option for a very high ceiling. I did have to purchase some small weights to balance the light because it was a little tilted. I do not know if this is cause by the construction of the light or my installed. It was an easy fix, so no problem.
We have it hung in the corner of a dark room, over an L shaped couch. The illumination is soft, but I can still read under it without being blinded. The design is fabulous and goes with both our modern and antique furniture. The only visual drawback is that the shade has two seams so it's hard to hide them.
I was a little leary about ordering on line but it is the nicest chandelier I have seen even in high end stores. The price was very resonable and the look is great. Its going over kitchen table, glass top with metal base. Love it , love it.
Fixtures mounting screws that came with the lamp were not long enough and we had to purchase longer screws from the local hardware; installation instructions were minimal; major bolt to connect glass diffuser to was not long enough to connect the diffuser as shown in the instructions -- we had to play around with it for about 45 minutes to figure it out ourselves (and even then we weren't sure it was installed correctly); the lamp looks great hanging in our kitchen and it has a beautiful look to it (all our friends love it)
My husband installed this light fixture above our kitchen table within several hours. It is absolutely gorgeous. Everything I expected. I have received many compliments on it.

This is a lovely fixture and we are very pleased with it. It is much prettier in person than in the online photos. Our only complaint is that leveling it is difficult. It hangs from two wires and getting them both the same tension (which is required for the fixture to hang level) was tough. It was worth it, though. The chandelier looks fabulous!
