Ugh . . color of cord is ugly neon yellow. Wish cord was threaded through pole rather than visibile. Had to bend socket to install bulb.

This is a beautiful lamp in the classic style that is not easy to find. No extra design gew-gaws! The brass finish is flawless. The base and entire lamp is very sturdy. Easy to adjust height and angle. Will work with any interiors style. Excellent value for the very reasonable price. Am 100% satisfied with this purchase.

This lamp set next to the breakfast nook table to supplement rather dim overhead lighting. We use it to read the at the table and find it very suitable for that purpose. Light bulb is easy to change and because of the double bar pole it is quite sturdy, not wobbly like the last one we owned!

This lamp is perfect for areas that you would like to keep tabletops clear. Some improvement is needed -- the screw that connects the pole to the base is an inch or two too short and does not make a sturdy connection. Also I would rate the finish as garrish, it needs to be toned down. Still it fits my specific need and is a good value.

Even though I owned another brass finish floor lamp for years, this one is much nicer. I didn't think I'd find the same quality in what I could afford, but I found even better quality. I love the lamp's sturdiness, and the adjustable height feature is built into the design in such a nice way. I use this lamp next to my bed to read, and I love that I can bring it in close and adjust the height so it illuminates what I'm reading in such a nice personal way.
