When I received this light and took it out of the box, it was even more beautiful than I had hoped. The golden shade was just what I wanted. Also, locally I had looked for reasonably priced drum shades, which are so popular now, but I couldn't find anything to my liking that would fit my budget. This light was the perfect solution. I put one in my bedroom, and the other one in my den, and I put dimmer switches on both (dimmers are a "must" in my book so that the brightness of the light can be controlled, depending on the time of day and such). The lights even have glass (rather than plastic) diffusers, more than I would expect of a light at the price that I paid. I'm extremely pleased about my purchase. I was looking for something to replace the builder's standard light that came with my house. (Note: I had originally thought about putting this light in my kitchen, but due to the fabric shade, I think that it better suits bedrooms and dens.)

I used this light fixture in my foyer and absolutely love it. The color of the shade is perfect w/my decor not to mention the fixture is sturdy and to my surprise, the diffuser is not plastice but glass. Very attractive!!!

Incredible value, style & super easy to install (less than half an hour). We replaced the clunky 1980's ceiling fan in our bedroom with this fixture & it looks fantastic. Exactly what we wanted!

Put these light fixtures into all the bedrooms. YOu can have the overhead ceiling light on without any glare. Soft but bright diffused light in the whole room. Adds a disntinctive decorative touch for a reasonable price. Makes a dull room look more finished.
