These shades turned my 50 year old lamps to brand new! Completely updated and changed the look of the lamps. They are so much prettier than they look online. I absolutely love them!

I bought a fabulous modern base that I scored at a local thrift shop. Its unique design called for a modern shade with some fabric texture. Needless to say, this shade fit the bill perfectly. In person, the shade is even more beautiful. The embroidery adds both dimension & texture. It does not have sheen as the picture appears on the web, which is good for me since I preferred a matte look. I was pleasantly surprised that the design it is not totally uniform. Every fourth column of the design is bold, and then tapers down in width of stitching. I can't believe it is under $40 since by quality & design I'd expect to pay double.

This shade takes my cheap, thrift shop lamp to a design mag level! It has a good and firm liner that is sheer enough to allow tons of light through. I've had it for over a month and it brings a smile to my face every evening when I light that lamp. I couldn't be happier!
