I purchased two lamps to use in a two story foyer but when viewing from the lower level you can see the dark brown light sockets...it would have been better if the sockets were a nickel finish.

Overall nice but we had an electrician install it since it is a wall mounted fixture. Electricians are expensive so factor that into the price.

Using this as an entry hall light, which is not what it was designed for. We had to block off the underside front half (do not block the entire shade - it needs air flow for cooling). We installed it about 9' high - you can see all the sockets and workings. Lowered it to about 7 1/2' and installed the shield and it's perfect.
