No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I chose this wall lamp because it has a small, flat shade, so doesn't extend out into the room like the others do. It is beautiful, as well as expensive. However, it was very difficult to hang because there is so little room at the back to work when you have to put in the screws that attach the lamp to the base. Then, the lightbulbs required are not normal size, but are the candleabra type. When installed they reach taller than the harp that holds the shade on, so you have to push the bulbs to the back, without breaking them and the whole thing is crooked. It was the most frustrating lamp we ever installed.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I recently received a pair of these that I ordered recently. I am as enthralled now as I was when I first spotted these online. Perfect proportions, great ambient light and just plain gorgeous design!!! The only negative comment is not of the lamp itself but this website. One of the pair is perfect, the other came with a replaced finial that is made of cheap material and shiny, fake brass that doesn't match the rest of the lamp. LAMPS PLUS, you should be ashamed of such poor business practice!! When you say it is a final sale, you should also mention when the product in the box does not completely match what it should be.
